Winners Chapel, officially the Living Faith Church Worldwide, was founded in 1983 by Bishop David Oyedepo. The church operates from its 70,000-capacity Faith Tabernacle auditorium in Canaanland, Ota, Ogun State — the largest church auditorium in the world by seating capacity — with over 10,000 parishes across 65 countries.
Winners Chapel’s most documented and measurable contribution to Nigerian development is its investment in tertiary education through two world-ranked universities: Covenant University and Landmark University.
Covenant University
Founded in 2002, Covenant University in Ota, Ogun State, has ranked as the number one university in Nigeria and West Africa in the Times Higher Education (THE) World University Rankings for multiple consecutive years, including the 2025 THE Impact Rankings for interdisciplinary science. The university has produced graduates who hold senior positions across government, business, technology, and academia.
Landmark University
Founded in 2011 in Omu-Aran, Kwara State, Landmark University focuses on agricultural science and entrepreneurship. It has consistently ranked among the top universities in Nigeria and appears in the top 300 globally in Times Higher Education subject rankings for agriculture.
Heritage Schools
Winners Chapel operates over 150 Heritage Schools across Nigeria, providing primary and secondary education with a curriculum emphasising character development, academic excellence, and entrepreneurial thinking. The schools serve students from diverse economic backgrounds.
COVID-19 Relief
During the COVID-19 pandemic, Winners Chapel donated ambulances to the Ogun and Ondo State governments to support emergency medical response. The donation was coordinated through the church’s welfare arm as part of a broader national relief effort.
